The Bronx Academy of Letters is founded on the belief that students who can express themselves clearly in writing can do better in any path they choose in life. Our students achieve mastery of the word in the context of a rigorous, college-preparatory environment that celebrates vision, expression, tenacity, inquiry, integrity, and compassion.
Graduates of Bronx Academy of Letters will be articulate, critical readers and writers. They will be visionaries, knowing how to work hard and how to work with others. They will be curious, capable problem solvers, ready to serve their communities with integrity. They will be prepared to maximize their learning and growth during their college years, which serve as a gateway to so much future opportunity and success.

The Department of Education provides funding for basic needs but we at Bronx Academy of Letters know that we must provide our students with much more than the basics in order for them to excel in the paths they choose in life. We look to our friends in the community to help us to raise resources for the special features that make Bronx Letters so special: clubs, athletic teams, annual college visits, our newspaper, literary magazine, The Writers Forum reading series; and, of course, the vital, individualized attention offered by our outstanding teaching and student-support staff. These are the programs that have changed our students' lives. Thank you for your support of our school and for helping us as we continue to grow.
